Kinda Blue - Cyanotype printing

Absolutely LOVED making Cyanotype prints with my friends at Exclusively Inclusive as part of their Festival of Friendship & Fun!

This traditional way of making prints is one of the oldest forms of photography - I love the tactile nature of working with simple chemistry + paper, making use of found objects and sunlight (even on a rainy cloudy day) to create beautiful one of a kind artworks 💙

It was a great way to engage all of the sense in making a photograph as opposed to taking a photograph - this is a real hands on approach and requires a different thought process! Lot’s of fun as always with Exclusively Inclusive and I am so grateful to Katie and everyone involved for inviting me to the party!

I am keen to grow the conversation with fellow travellers, practitioners and folks who are interested in photovoice, community development and the intersection of art and community - if that sounds like you’re cup of tea too then I’d love for you to check out the Our Creative Connection Podcast HERE you can also find it on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube if you follow the links below!
