Ella Dawson Foundation - Colour Ball 2024
Had the pleasure of photographing another event in support of the Ella Dawson Foundation - their annual Colour Ball, fund raiser and celebration. An amazing evening, wonderful people coming together in support of an important cause.
I’ve photographed a few events for this wonderful charity you can see details HERE and HERE. It was great to hear how about the work the Foundation has been growing over the last year, growing their reach nationally helping even more young people to live well with and beyond a cancer diagnosis.
The evening at The Queens Hotel, Leeds raised £22,296 in pursuit of this cause which is flipping awesome - on top of all that a great night was had by all, music, games, dancing, eating and drinking!
There was an auction of prizes ranging from holidays and concert tickets to smaller gifts and experiences (I donated a film photography workshop as a prize too)!
I love supporting community groups, projects and charities - helping them to visualise their story. Sometimes this involved participatory photography projects like Photovoice and other times it’s about me taking the photos - I’ve spent nearly ten years shooting events, from weddings to birthday parties, music festivals and corporate events. Now I specialise in providing professional photography and videography for events and projects in the social sector.
